Head of Software Engineering

In this role, you (are):

• An integral part of the Visionplanner leadership team engaging with all stakeholders within Visma and Visionplanner. 
• Responsible for design and implementation of the development strategy and processes of Visionplanner in line with business strategy and other requirements. 
• Responsible for a development organisation in the Netherlands and in India where engineers are engaged and personal development, autonomy, innovation and productivity are promoted.
• Ensure timely delivery of products in accordance with accepted quality standards.
• Define and allocate required development resources (both quantity and quality) in line with Visionplanner strategy
• Provide input to the business case for significant new initiatives (e.g. acquisition, development of new module or application) from a development perspective

• Identify, monitor and mitigate risks inherent to software development
• Evaluate and make recommendations of tools and methods for development, testing and documentation
• Manage, evaluate and approve contracted third parties directly related to software development or DevOps.
• Evaluate and approve third-party components
• Establish, improve and report development KPIs and assign them to appropriate levels. 
• Responsible for design and quality of processes and procedures for DevOps
• Responsible for product security, certification and security-related processes proactive, and reactive (like: security incident handling)

In addition:

• • You have preferably received an education in ICT direction.
  • You have at least three years of work experience as a Head of Software Engineering, preferably in an international environment.
  • Since Visma Visionplanner is part of an international company Visma, you have a good command of both the Dutch and English languages.
  • Experience in the IT sector and accountancy sector is an advantage.
